Our Greatest Asset

I participated in a webinar teaching by Dr. Romero Maridjan called Step Up, Step Out and Succeed. In the teaching, one of the things he talked about was assets, particularly new assets, and how we can use them to influence our success in life. While studying this teaching, I began to examine my life to search out what my assets are. Firstly, I looked at the definitions of an asset and secondly I tried to pinpoint the different people, things, and qualities I have in my life that fit the description.

According to the dictionary, an asset is described as the following:

  • Advantage
  • Resource
  • Something useful in an effort to foil or defeat an enemy
  • A useful or valuable thing, person or quality

When I pondered on what an asset is, I realized that Holy Ghost is our greatest asset. I understood that having Holy Ghost puts us in a favorable and superior position in life. Then I became aware of what the Bible is talking about when it says,

God’s power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowing the One who called us to his own glory and goodness. By these He has given us valuable and superlatively great promises, so that through them you might come to share in God’s nature and escape the corruption which evil desires have brought into the world” 2 Peter 1:3-4 CJB.

You see, the promises of God to us are useful, important, of the highest quality and degree, and have great worth. They enable us to live our best life here on earth; not just when we get to our eternal home. They help us to become a people of great integrity and wholeness in every area of life. The greatest of these promises given to us is Holy Ghost, our Chief Asset.

The Bible declares in Acts 2:32-33 CJB that “God raised up … Yeshua … Moreover, He has been exalted to the right hand of God; has received from the Father what He promised, namely, the Ruach HaKodesh; … ”

Holy Ghost is a promised gift given to us by God to teach, train, assist and guide us in the ways of the Kingdom and through life. This means that we do not have to struggle through life. More importantly, we do not have to face life alone and afraid. We have an Advantage who will give us the advantage. We only have to accept this Gift of God and make great use of this Resource.

As we seek to realign our lives, let us not take upon ourselves the burden of struggle and worry as we go through our daily living. Instead tap into the source of help, strength, and advantage provided to us by means of Holy Ghost so that we can live in excellence, in victory and our best lives yet.
